FEATURING THE ECKEL CAM-LOK AUDIOMETRIC BOOTH
Audiology Associates is an authorized representative of Eckel Industries. The Eckel CAM-LOK panel design system offers several advantages over the traditional H-CHANNEL panel design used in all other booths. While both booths feature four inch panels with similar components, the locking mechanism used with the Eckel panels is unique.
Eckel Cam-Lok panels
The Eckel CAM-LOK panels are joined by inserting and turning an Allen wrench key in the panel to turn a hook. The hook swings in position to catch a latch on the next panel. The adjoining panels are therefore pulled closer together, forming a tighter seal.

Also, rubber gaskets are used, rather than caulk and insulation, to make installation (and a possible future move) easier. With the standard H-PANEL design of other booths, more holes are drilled and rivets are inserted to hold the panels together. If it is possible that your booth will be moved in the future, this is an especially important consideration since it is difficult to align the holes once a booth has been moved.
The University of Pennsylvania recently purchased four Eckel suites (exam and control rooms) for their new facility. Children's Seashore House, A.I. duPont Institute, The Medical Center of Delaware and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have also selected the Eckel booths recently.
