Craig W. Johnson, Au.D., FAAA, founded Audiology Associates, Inc. in 1977 and serves as the President of the firm. He has a master's degree from Towson State University and a doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Johnson was born in Baltimore and was raised in the Fullerton area of Baltimore County. He has served on the Executive Board of the Maryland Academy of Audiology since its inception in 1992 to 1998. In 1997, he served as President of the Maryland Academy. He continues to serve the Maryland Academy as its Legislative Chairperson. Dr. Johnson was elected to the board of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and began his term in 1998. In 2002, he was elected as President-elect of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) and began serving a two year term as its President in October, 2004. In October, 2007, he completed a ten years of service on ADA's Board of Directors. ADA is the largest national organization representing Doctors of Audiology.
He maintains privileges at St. Agnes Hospital for operating room neural monitoring. This procedure reduces the risk of patient paralysis following surgical intervention for various pathologies. Dr. Johnson provides a full range of diagnostic and hearing aid services for patients in the Security office. He most enjoys talking to his patients about their life experiences. He feels that knowledge concerning a patient's lifestyle and previous experiences is one of the most important factors in restoring a persons' communicative abilities. Charlotte B. Godfrey, Au.D., FAAA, has a master's degree in audiology from Central Michigan University and a Doctor of Audiology degree from the Pennsylvania School of Optometry. Dr. Godfrey was raised in Florida and has been a clinical audiologist for almost two decades. Prior to her career as an audiologist, she taught English and was a Peace Corps volunteer and worked as a health educator in Togo, Africa in the 1970's. Following this experience, Dr. Godfrey became a clinical audiologist at New York Hospital. During her six year tenure at New York Hospital, she evaluated many well known individuals including former President Nixon. Dr. Godfrey's clinical services are focused on the fitting of programmable hearing aids and the follow-up care associated with her comprehensive approach. She serves patients in the Wilkens Avenue office. Recently, she served as the President of the Maryland Academy of Audiology. Briana Bruno Holtan, Au.D., FAAA, has a master's degree from Towson State University and a Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Bruno Holtan hails from Norfolk, Virginia; however, she is familiar with Baltimore since she completed her clinical fellowship year in Baltimore with Audiology Associates, Inc. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and fitting of advanced state-of-the-art hearing aid technologies. Dr. Bruno Holtan uniquely combines this knowledge with the ability to understand patient concerns. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she has served as the Treasurer and President of the Maryland Academy of Audiology. Anne Rouleau, Au.D., FAAA, earned her Master’s degree with a merit scholarship at Michigan State University. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology through the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Rouleau has extensive audiologic experience in a wide variety of settings. She was employed for several years at an Audiology-ENT practice where she also serviced nursing homes and satellite clinics. She was also employed for several years at a pediatric specialty clinic and at a tertiary hospital associated with a medical school. Dr. Rouleau has volunteered for hearing screening, facilitating parent groups and presenting to community senior groups. Dr. Rouleau feels that it is important to identify an individual’s specific communicative demands in order to maximize rehabilitation. Alicia D.D. Spoor, Au.D., FAAA,
joined
Audiology Associates Inc. in 2007. Previously,
Dr. Spoor was part of the cochlear implant and hearing aid teams at Mayo Clinic
in Arizona. She received her Doctor
of Audiology degree and Master of Science degree from Gallaudet University, in
Washington, D.C. Clinical internship experiences included Bethesda National
Naval Medical Center (BNNMC), Ft. Belvoir Army Community Hospital and Kendall
Demonstration Elementary School (KDES). In addition, she has 8 years of formal
American Sign Language (ASL) education and has completed intensive coursework in
Deaf culture and multicultural sensitivity. Dr. Spoor taught at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels while at Gallaudet University. She received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in Audiology and
Speech Sciences. She takes a special interest in teaching and educational
training at all age levels, tinnitus treatment, assistive technology and
humanitarian outreach efforts.
Melissa Segev, Au.D., FAAA, received her undergraduate degree from Towson University and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained her clinical doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.). While at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Segev did extensive research in the area of auditory processing disorders as well as cochlear mechanics as reflected by distortion product otoacoustic emissions. She received several awards for academic achievement while attending the university, which include the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Emeritus Award, Ann Pascasio Award, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology Student Scholarship. Her special interests are the evaluation of children, treatment of balance disorders and the fitting of hearing aids. Currently she serves on Convention committee for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Dr. Segev is currently a fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA). Aimee Kaplan, Au.D., FAAA, received her undergraduate degree and her doctorate in Audiology from Towson University. While at Towson University she completed internships at GBMC and also collaborated with private physician offices. Her primary interests include the treatment of hearing loss, balance disorders and tinnitus management. Dr. Kaplan believes that her success in the treatment of hearing and balance disorders is related to her personalized caring approach she displays with each patient. Audiology Associates, Inc. maintains seven clinical offices that are located in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Talbot County. The group was the first comprehensive private practice in the State and it is currently the largest. Each office has complete diagnostic capability along with traditional and computerized hearing aid evaluation services.

As you know from other health care offices, we will review your patient history as well as other information. After you have called our office and made an appointment you will receive a "welcome packet" containing information about our office and our patient information forms. If you choose to download the file, please complete the first four pages. Pages five and Six are history forms for either a child or adult patient. Pages Seven and Eight, our lifestyle form, is intended for adults who have had a history of hearing loss that is not related to a recent medical problem.
